Report on Enjoying birds as God's creation weekend retreat on Holy Island in September 2007
A wonderful retreat in a peaceful special place where the saints had been. It was lovely using the prayers written in Northumbria by David Adams and the graces from John Stott’s book on birds – all worship I like and probably would never experience on a birdwatching holiday. The birds and what they can teach us about God was most interesting and one to follow through on returning home – real food for thought. I often thank God for creation and birds etc. after a lovely day out or just seeing them on the birdtable at home, but I have seen them in a new way as I recall what they can teach us. When I talk about the love of God I shall remember the sparrow
